Dr. Tammie Hyde is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist dedicated to advancing the field of anesthesiology through innovative research, education, and clinical practice. She obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in anesthesia from Barry University, where she investigated the patient experience of virtual reality for procedural anxiety. Her findings were presented at the International Convention of Psychological Science 2023 in Brussels, Belgium.

In her role as the Medical Lead at Studio Bahia, Dr. Hyde collaborates on virtual reality productions for training, therapy, and education, aligning with her research interests in using virtual reality to alleviate procedural pain and anxiety. Currently Dr. Hyde serves as the principal investigator for research examining the potential of virtual reality to mitigate patient anxiety and pain during peripheral nerve block placement.

Dr. Hyde's passion for education extends to her role at Keiser University in Naples, FL, where she currently serves as a Clinical Facilitator and Capstone Chair for nurse anesthesia residents. In this capacity, she guides students through their capstone projects, providing invaluable mentorship and expert insights.
