Emery Bergey
Emery Bergey is a Clinical Nurse Specialist supporting Ambulatory Services and the RN Navigation program at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. She received her Masters’ of Science in Nursing Education from Chamberlain University, and a Post-Masters’ Certificate in Advanced Practice Nursing from Loyola University Chicago. She holds certifications in oncology, holistic nursing, and a specialty certificate in radiation oncology. Prior to joining Moffitt, she worked as a Lead RN Case Manager at the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute, and discovered her passion in caring for patients undergoing radiotherapy. She was recently selected as a National Innovation Fellow through The Ohio State University College of Nursing, and serves as a National Advisory Board member for the Coalition for Nurse Well-
Being. At Moffitt, her work focuses on developing innovative programs to improve nursing practice and patient outcomes. She is dedicated to exploring the benefits of Virtual Reality in
managing treatment-related symptoms, and finds joy in empowering patients of all ages with unique opportunities to engage with technology. Outside of work, she is a licensed skydiver, nature enthusiast, and dedicated dog mom.
